2019 Yard Waste Pick Up Begins April 8th

Place compostable bags of yard waste, bundles of brush and reusable yard waste containers next to garbage carts by 6:00 a.m. on your regular garbage collection day.

  1. Use Kraft paper bags or compostable plastic bags labeled with the BPI logo (see it here).  State law prohibits using conventional plastic bags for yard waste.
  2. Reusable trash cans are also permitted, see details here for permissible sizes/weights
  3. It’s against the law to rake leaves into the street (and bad for our lakes, creeks and river).
