Mission
The Lowry Hill Neighborhood Association (LHNA) is one of the oldest neighborhood organizations in Minneapolis. We work toward the preservation and improvement of Lowry Hill, and provide a forum fostering communication, participation, and advocacy for residents regarding issues and events meaningful to our community. Efforts to improve our community include developing, encouraging, and promoting programs, activities and government action directed toward the maintenance, preservation, improvement and beautification of Lowry Hill.
Membership
LHNA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit without barriers to entry—all Lowry Hill residents aged 16+ are LHNA members. Lowry Hill is bound by I-394 (north), I-94/Hennepin Ave (east), 22nd St (south) and Lake of the Isles Pkwy, Logan Ave and Morgan Ave (west).
Member Meetings
MONTHLY BOARD MEETINGS
Our Board of Directors usually meets first Tuesdays monthly, 7–9 PM at Searle Mansion (1915 Logan Ave S).
Input at Board meetings is welcome from all attendees throughout the meeting, and there is special time dedicated at the beginning for introductions and at the end of the meeting in the open forum section for any attendee to bring up a topic of interest.
ANNUAL MEETINGS
The LHNA holds an Annual Meeting each May to elect new board members and to provide an update to residents on the work that's taken place during the past year. Seats can also open between Annual Meetings. If there are seats open, interested candidates will be able to submit an application from this page.
Board & Staff
Up to 15 board members serve on the board for 2-year terms, with a maximum of two consecutive terms. Board members are elected by residents at the Annual Meeting each May.
