City of Minneapolis:
The City of Minneapolis has announced its first-ever "Minneapolis Moves: The Big Honking Truck Parade.” The parade of big trucks is part of Mayor Jacob Frey's Downtown Action Plan, bringing events and commerce to the city center as part of a revitalization effort.
The parade will start at 5:30 PM at East Grant Street and run through South Sixth Street. At the end of the route, trucks will stop for photos until 8 PM.
The parade coincides with Mich's Makers' Market, where more than 30 vendors will set up shop from 4–8 PM. It'll include a variety of local businesses, including four flavors of ice cream made for the occasion from The Lofton Hotel.
