“I feel much more connected to people in the neighborhood since I’ve served on the board,” said Janet Hallaway, former LHNA President.  “One of the most rewarding things has been getting to know a whole new group of people and now counting those people as good friends”.

Duties of the board members:

Board members dedicate 4-5 hours/month, attend meetings, contribute ideas, serve on committees and attend/help execute neighborhood events.

  1. Support LHNA’s mission
  2. Attend board meetings the 1st Tuesday of the month, 7p.m. (Except hiatus in July and August)
  3. Attend the Annual meeting, usually held in mid-May.
  4. Attend special meetings held on the call of the Board, President, or neighborhood (see bylaws)
  5. Serve on at least one committee: Crime and Safety, History, Environment, Events, Neighborhood Priories, Outreach & Communications, Zoning
